“Peace can be found in many ways, but the best way is through Christ.”

We hear this statement often, but how is it that Christ, God almighty, has the ultimate peace? What is it that He has that life cannot offer? Well, I’m glad you asked. Let me show you one simple truth that give us the “peace that passes all understanding…” Philippians 4:7

I think one of many ways we know we can have peace through Christ, is because we know His Power. All over Scripture we see Gods amazing power. He healed the sick, fed the poor, and raised man from the dead. That right their shows how powerful He is. Not only in His actions, but sometimes, just with His Words. All over Scripture God not only shows us He is the ultimate peace, but how we can invite His peace in. Trusting God’s promises of peace can be difficult only when we don’t trust Him and His ability.

If you wanted to cross the Pacific Ocean, and wanted to do it as smoothly as possible, there would probably be a few options you could take.

You could go to a small business on the coast and ask for a rowboat and hope for the best. You, the sea, and a rowboat; what could go wrong? It can float, you have the tools to do it.. Who’s to say the rowboat wouldn’t work?

~OR ~

You could go and find someone who had the tools, AND the knowledge to get you across the Pacific in the best way possible. You could learn His ways, study his abilities and strengths; You would then know to get a certain kind of boat, and go a certain way, which would then make for a more peaceful route, and then you could trust you could get there! The best part, the man is willing to take this journey with you (Just in case you forget something)!

Now I don’t know about you, but I would take option 2 in a heartbeat! I mean, why wouldn’t you take option 2? You have someone you can put your trust in, and the knowledge yourself, to get you there in a safe peaceful route!

Just like this example, our heavenly father has given us a book FULL of his knowledge and direction, to have peace when life gives us nothing but chaos. THIS IS WHY WE CHALLENGE PEOPLE TO READ THE BIBE! You must first have Christ knowledge and wisdom to know how to have His peace! I can make funny, catchy examples all day, but at the end of it all, even I myself cannot give you peace like God can. You have to take what He tells you, and then apply it in our life! What good would it have been if you were to read up on all the knowledge to cross the ocean, have the whole manual memorized, but never step out on the boat? You never would have made it to the other side of the ocean.. You must not only know the scripture but put it into practice. I can have all the knowledge of peaceful scripture in the World, but if I choose not to place my faith in Christ, and trust that He will see me through, how can I have peace in my mind?

James 2:14-17 says..14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

I hope this has been a help, and a challenge to you! Below is listed some verses you can hold fast to when you need peace! Keep going Christian and remember, you have God Almighty with you every step of the way!
